4 questions to ask when hiring an insurance broker

When we hire an insurance broker bel air, we ensure to do a complete license and background check to confirm their legitimacy. However, it is important that you go above and beyond these checks too. 

Make sure to raise a few sets of questions, such as:

1- Are you familiar with my industry?

The agent must have basic knowledge about your industry and the type of business you run. 

2- What types of insurance do you sell?

The agent must be capable of offering different types of coverage your business may need. If you come across an agent who deals with personal coverage, then he may not be the best option for your business. 

3- What insurers do you represent?

Gain maximum information on what type of insurance companies the agent represents or deals with. 

4- Can you provide a reference?

It is important to know if the agent has good reviews among his clients or not. So, ask this question and request him to provide details of satisfied customers with businesses similar to yours. You can contact these clients to get their feedback on the agent/ 

5- Can you meet my expectations?

You must be proactive in letting the agent know about the types of services you are looking for. This way, you will know if he/she can provide them. If possible, ask these questions on call or through face-to-face interactions.
